PCB Trade-in Policy
A Trade-In listing found on this site means that you send me a non working pcb (that matches the game title you are wishing to buy) of your own plus the price in the listing in order to recieve the fully working pcb shown in said listing. The working pcb shown will only be despatched after I have made an assessment of the trade-in pcb you sent. I will let you know of any discrepencies before completeing the deal, and should we not come to agreement, i will return your trade-in and refund your payment minus the cost of the return postage. A "Non-working PCB of your own" means your own non-working, original, "feasably repairable" pcb in an "unhacked stated". "Unhacked State" means in a condition a pcb might be after it has just died in a game. This means no missing parts, no wrong parts, and no damage caused by improper repair, misuse, or poor handling. Items that are sent in having kicked around a warehouse or shelves for several years or with other defects can be repaired after an amount is assessed as to how much extra work will be needed to make the item repairable and acceptable as a suitable trade-in pcb. "Feasably repairable" means the trade-in pcb is free from excessive corrosion caused by acid damage, rust, etc. The item must not require custom parts no longer available or that prohibitively add to the expense of the repair. Corrosion clean up/repair can be carried out, and custom parts may be sourced, but this will weigh against accepting it as a suitable trade-in pcb. I do not want basket cases, or pcbs that have had the amateur collector go at them with a soldering iron. Any variation from these rules will result in additional monetary differences, and will be discussed prior to any exchange. |
