ABI Electronics Board Master 4000 Diagnostic System

I threw this page together to keep track of the inevitable upgrades
and modifications that i will make while this is in my posession.

I believe my ABI BM4K is an Ex-RAF piece of equipment judging by a
couple of labels i found. I have the original User Manual and the
Programming Manual, but no cables. I made up a Test Cable from
some old IDE cables. I havn't yet needed the BDO cable.

I took some photos inside the LCD panel when i had to replace the contrast pot on my unit that was flakey as hell. It runs extemely hot and it really needs a 2-3watt pot in there but i have not found a suitable one yet. The 0.25w i have installed gets too hot to touch after about 15 minutes, but i have no option right now, i'll wait until it melts or i find a suitable replacement. Its pretty low-tech in there, everything is hot-glued in place. The photos were for wire positioning reference mainly.

ABIBM4K Keyboard
I had to open up my keyboard to fix the space bar recently as the two side supports were off and rattling around inside making typing pretty tough! Thought i'd take some photos while i was in there.
